While most Americans feel that the federal government is out of control, constitutional State Legislators, of all people, must be infuriated by how the federal government’s unfunded mandates, and a myriad of regulations, impede their progress.
The Constitution is not flawed, only ignored. It does not need to be fixed, but enforced. Who among the many current elected officials and politicians approach the wisdom and stature of our original Founding Fathers?
Among ignored provisions, in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution states the legislative powers given to Congress, which they must not exceed. Were Congress to stay within these delegated legislative powers, state legislators would indeed be able to progress in arriving at un-meddled state legislation.
Yet the federal government will continue to operate out of bounds until states, and especially state legislators, work to nullify socialistic and corrupt federal legislation. A recent good example of nullification, from a bill in Tennessee states:
No powers, assets, employees, agents or contractors of the state, including any institution under control of the University of Tennessee or the Tennessee board of regents, or any political subdivision, municipality or other local government entity shall be used to assist in implementing the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, or any subsequent federal amendment to such act.
As independent Americans, we hope your loyalties are to the citizens of this great independent state, and not to the intimidating and usurping powers of the federal government.
If your loyalties are NOT to us, it is our sincere prayer, to an almighty God, that you lose your right to legislate, and that a worthy person's loyalties and initiatives be of influence in decisions that drastically affect my life, liberty, and property.
